Rushmere Plumbing and Heating, founded in 2019, is a reliable and modern plumbing service offering high-quality solutions and 5-star service. As a brand, they wanted to stand out in a competitive industry by creating a logo that is bold, memorable, and professional, yet approachable and modern.

Our role: 

Vindex Creative was approached with the need for a complete branding overhaul. Their objective was clear: develop an eye-catching and modern identity that reflects their commitment to top-tier service. They wanted a logo and branding system that not only stood out visually but also evoked trust and reliability.

Design Process

Our process began with research into the plumbing industry, understanding the competitive landscape, and defining key values that would guide the design. Rushmere Plumbing and Heating wanted something fresh, bold, and professional, which led us to explore different ways to represent the core elements of plumbing—strength, reliability, and service.

We decided to use strong shapes and contemporary colour combinations to convey these values, with the use of a wrench integrated into the logo, symbolizing the service aspect of the business. Additionally, we explored colour psychology to evoke feelings of trust (blue), and professionalism (grey). These colours were carefully chosen to reinforce the messaging

Testing Mockups Across Multiple Mediums

To ensure the brand's visual identity translates seamlessly across various platforms, we tested the logo and design on a range of physical mediums, including shirts, embroidery labels, stickers, and engraved symbols. Each of these tests was crucial in evaluating how the design would hold up in real-world applications:

Shirts:

We explored how the design appears on fabric, considering the contrast, scalability, and clarity of the logo when printed or embroidered. Ensuring the logo maintains its impact on different fabric types was key for versatility in merchandising.

Embroidery Labels:

This test allowed us to examine how intricate details of the logo appear when embroidered, ensuring that every element translates well to a stitched format.

Stickers:

Applying the design to stickers helped us assess its adaptability to small, movable surfaces, while also evaluating its durability and visibility in different sizes.

Engraved Symbols:

Finally, we tested how the design holds up when engraved, ensuring the logo maintains its essence in a more permanent and tactile format.

Outcome and Impact:

Not only did Rushmere Plumbing and Heating love our project, they also had other people mention how slick their new look was! 

 

The new identity has allowed Rushmere Plumbing and Heating to stand out in the competitive plumbing industry, offering a visual experience that conveys trust and professionalism to both new and existing clients.

Lessons Learned:

Throughout this project, we learned the importance of balancing aesthetics with functionality. It’s crucial that a brand’s design not only looks good but also communicates the core values of the business. The design process involved close collaboration with the client, which allowed us to truly capture their vision for the brand.
